About

Hi I'm Liam Kelly! I am a queer trans artist working out of a private studio in Brooklyn. I work in a variety of materials mainly focused on ceramics and leatherwork.

My art practice is centered on creating works that are accessible, tactile, and sustainable. I believe that art should be inclusive and reachable to a wide audience, and that's why I use materials that are easy to handle and can be enjoyed by many. I focus on the use of textures and finishes to create depth and a sense of movement, inviting the viewer to engage with the piece through touch.

Additionally, I am committed to incorporating sustainability into my practice by using eco-friendly materials, techniques, and processes. I believe that art can and should be a catalyst for change, and by using sustainable materials, I aim to cause minimal impact on the environment.

In essence, my art practice explores the relationship between accessibility, texture, and sustainability. I aim to create pieces that are not only visually striking but also emotionally and physically engaging, promoting a deeper connection between the viewer and the art.
